How to Use & Back Up the RDR2 Tracker

Start a playthrough

1. Open a location list such as Legendary Fish or the 100% checklist.
2. In Playthrough progress, choose New playthrough and give it a name you can recognize, such as “Story save” or “All collectibles”.
3. Tick an item after you have completed it in the game. A collection row and its parent quest on the completion checklist are separate notes.
4. Use the Playthrough selector to switch runs. Different pages use the same selected playthrough.

Find your next task

Select Incomplete to hide checked rows. Type part of a name or location into Find on this page. On pages with area or set filters, those filters combine with your search. Next incomplete moves to an unfinished row that matches the current filters; it does not calculate a shortest route or determine which chapter has unlocked it.

If nothing is visible, clear the search, choose All items and reset the area filter. A filter does not delete progress. The progress bar counts the page's checked items even when some are hidden.

Move progress to another browser

1. Open a tracker page in the browser that contains your progress.
2. Choose Export backup. Keep the downloaded JSON file somewhere you can find it.
3. On the destination device, visit a tracker page and choose Import backup, then select that file.
4. Imported playthroughs are added as new copies with “(imported)” in their names. Existing playthroughs are kept. Check the selector to make sure you are viewing the intended copy.

The backup contains playthrough names and checked item IDs, not a Rockstar game save. Avoid including personal information in a playthrough name if you plan to share its backup.

Recovering missing progress

First check the playthrough selector and whether you opened the same website in the same browser profile. Private browsing and cleared site storage can remove local progress. An exported backup is the recovery method; this site has no server copy to restore.

Reset clears only the current page for the selected playthrough after confirmation. Export first if you might need those checks later. If your browser blocks local storage, changes may not persist across reloads; test one checkbox before entering a long checklist.

Understand what a check means

A checked row means you marked it complete. The site does not verify locations, detect completed missions or automatically connect a fish row with a completion objective. On the 100% page, 35 checked rows are a checklist total, not the weighted percentage shown by the game. Use the game's Total Completion menu to confirm the achievement requirement.
